A mill on the river

Here, the setting is part of the holiday. A 19th-century former mill, a river, a garden, a large house and enough space for 15 guests without losing the charm of a family home.

People come to the Moulin de Charreau to slow down: lunch outdoors, swim in the river, go canoeing, play in the garden, gather around the fireplace or set off to discover the villages and châteaux of Touraine. With its 6 bedrooms, its warm living spaces and its many things for children, the mill is particularly well suited to families and groups of friends.

The house

Well-equipped kitchen, sitting room with fireplace, dining room dominated by the mill’s original machinery, conservatory. Beds: 4 double beds, 6 single beds and 2 sofa beds. For children: games, toys, dressing-up clothes, travel cot and high chair.

Montrésor, one of the most beautiful villages in France, is 2.5 km away. The lake of Chemillé-sur-Indrois and its leisure centre are 7 km away, Loches and its royal citadel 18 km; Beauval Zoo and the Loire Valley châteaux are nearby.

– pets €15 per animal per stay.
€500 deposit, returned after the cleaning.

Good to know

• The mill is in a village: no loud parties, quiet or windows closed after 10 pm.
• No smoking indoors (€200 withheld from the deposit if not respected).
• Pets welcome, to be declared when booking: pick up after them, bring their bowls, not on sofas or beds.
• Trampoline, swing set, canoe and tree house are used at the guests’ own risk.
• Even with the cleaning option: put the furniture back in place, tidy away games and toys, wash up and put away the dishes, empty the bins and take bottles to the recycling.
