A large country house with a pool

Three buildings, a large garden, a private wood and a pool: L’Ancienne Poste was designed for groups who love getting together without feeling cramped.

Up to 30 guests sleep in 12 bedrooms.

The large dining room brings everyone together at mealtimes, while the sitting rooms offer several spaces to read, play, work, play the piano, have a game of billiards or simply find a quiet corner.

In fine weather, the pool, the pétanque court and the garden become the heart of the house;
in autumn and winter, the wood stoves give the place a particularly warm atmosphere.

Families, friends, seminars and courses: here, the whole house is yours.

The house

Three buildings built in the 19th century: the Maison de Maître (main house), the Grande Dépendance and the Petite Dépendance (outbuildings). Two well-equipped kitchens (Maison de Maître and Grande Dépendance) and a kitchenette (Petite Dépendance); 6 bathrooms (3, 2 and 1); a living room with a wood-burning stove in each building; a large 50 m² dining room for 30 people with a piano; two pianos; a very large television. For children: games, toys, dressing-up clothes, travel cots and high chairs.

Outdoors

Fenced 7 m × 4 m pool, open from May to the end of September, weather permitting. A 4,000 m² park around a hundred-year-old cedar, a 5,000 m² private wood with a tree house. Trampoline, table tennis, table football, darts, mölkky, barbecue and outdoor tables. Opposite: fishing pond, playground and sports ground.

Around the house

Bakery, butcher’s, pizzeria, mini-market and café 3 minutes’ walk away. Beauval Zoo is about 15 km away; the village church houses Jean Fouquet’s Pietà. The Brenne and the Loire Valley châteaux are nearby.

Rates are for the whole property, in euros.

– pets €15 per animal per stay (2 maximum).
€1,000 deposit, returned after the cleaning.

In January and February, each building can be rented on its own: Maison de Maître (7 bedrooms), Grande Dépendance (4 bedrooms), Petite Dépendance (1 bedroom). Please contact us for rates.

Good to know

• The house is in a village: no loud parties, no music outside, quiet or windows closed after 10 pm.
• No smoking indoors (€200 withheld from the deposit if not respected).
• Pets welcome, to be declared when booking: pick up after them, bring their bowls, not on sofas or beds.
• Pool, trampoline and the facilities in the woods are used at the guests’ own risk.
• Sheets compulsory: €12 withheld per soiled mattress protector, duvet or pillow.
• Even with the cleaning option: put the furniture back in place, tidy away games and toys, wash up and put away the dishes, empty the bins and take bottles to the recycling.
